Since 2013, CMT’s Next Women of Country campaign has brought attention and airplay to the best rising female stars in country music. Need proof? Former Next Women of Country include stars like Kacey Musgraves, Cassadee Pope, Brandy Clark and Ashley Monroe, and we can’t wait to hear who they have coming up next.
This year continues a great tradition, with the 2016 Next Women of Country campaign showcasing a fantastic array of emerging female country talent. Audiences are in for a mix of major label, indie and even unsigned women artists made available through video content, live performances and more. Sounds amazing, right? Well, listen up, because you can be a part of the action when the CMT 2016 Next Women of Country Tour hits a town near you.
This year’s CMT Next Women of Country Tour features headliners Jennifer Nettles (of Sugarland fame) and Brady Clark, along with performances by the 2016 class including Ashley Campbell, Courtney Cole, Sara Haze, Maren Morris, Carly Pearce, Rainey Qualley, Aubrie Sellers and special guests Tara Thompson and Lindsay Ell. Representing the best in emerging female country superstars, these ladies are showing off their talent in an impressive lineup of 30 dates with shows all over Canada and the United States.
The CMT 2016 Next Women of Country Tour began on January 15 in Orillia, Ontario and wraps up on April 22 in Albany, New York. Want to see if you can still catch the 2016 Next Women of Country Tour near you? Here is a full list of the tour’s April dates and locations:
